Founder of a charity for refugees, scottish, mum of two, drummer, lister, baker, pedal biker, coffee loving and opinionated. Nominated in 2015 by NESTA as one of the top 15 radicals in the Guardian.
Selina describes herself on social media as Scottish, mum of two, drummer, Refuweegee founder, lister, baker, pedal biker, coffee loving and opinionated. What this suggests but fails to clarify is that she is a bit of a force of nature. Engaged, energised and completely undaunted by hard work, Selina set up Refuweegee after crying over one too many news reports and when her normally brilliantly supportive husband made it clear that he wouldn’t be ok with solo parenting whilst she headed off to Greece, Calais or Turkey.
